Business Anything to do with your employment is political anyway and if you have been selected to make a presentation at a sales meeting you can bet your bottom dollar that it is not intended to make you look good it is intended to make the sales manager or one of his pets look good. And remember, by the time you have arrived at the podium every one else from the Managing Direct to the sales manager has done their bit and everyone is waiting to get to the bar so no one is listening anyway.
They say keep it short and start with a joke if you were the star act and being paid several million for the finally then you might just attract someone’s attention. Remember, you are the butt of the joke it was intended that you be embarrassed as you struggle to be heard over several hundred raised voices preparing to leave the room if many of them have not done so already. There are a couple of your colleagues who have been seeded with questions intended to embarrass you so any attempt at making a serious presentation is doomed to fail.
Keeping in mind that no one is listening anyway, that is until you are bushwhacked, start by taking control and asking the sales manager if he would have the decency to stop talking whilst you are making your presentation. Get the mob on your side: The sales manager started this conference with two jokes, he mentioned the commission structure and next years targets I am going to end the conference with one joke and ask the sales manger to close the conference.

So what can you deduct from a CEO, management standpoint: phenomenons, Prima Donnas and egocentric guys can adjust when education, patience and maturity play a great role - no matter if unnecessary stupidity arrive. The talented writer I am talking here, the phenomenon - still works for me with a goal with my company, very happy with him.
He had a bunch of competitors trying to bully him out of business, now he just settles down and has a working environment full of peace and with his old sanity back. Phenomenon is now again with peak performance and working great for me! 2008 will be a great year for small businesses and companies, let the great 2008 keep going at full steam!

Food and Drinks I know, it’s a strange business. There are times in your life that you will use a caterer once, maybe never, or maybe you use them allot for entertaining, or corporate events. I have witnessed some very interesting scenarios and the one question I am always asked is, do you have a license to do business?

On the other hand, I have heard horror stories of people cooking in their personal home kitchens, with cats on the counters, backed up kitchen sinks, or barely working refrigeration. The best way to make sure…. See for yourself. Ask to taste some samples, because if you are ordering food for a wedding or a company meeting, the last thing you want is a terrible meal. How do you explain that to your boss, or your wedding guests?
A good caterer will be more than willing to share their goods with you, show you their place of business, and help you in all aspects of planning your event, no matter how many people or genre.

Australia, a continent known for it’s hot weather, over the last few years has been trying to develop new ways to save water. Caroma launched their water saving invention last year with the waterless urinal, called the H2Zero. It caused quite a splash at the Australian 2007 design awards. It is estimated that every flush wastes two litres of water. The H2Zero wastes none.
The design is different from other versions, which had problems with excessive urinal smells and noises that sounded like “a build up of waste matter.” The H2Zero flushes these problems away with an airtight separation unit as well as a deodorising block in the main cartridge just in case.
If companies start installing these water-saving urinals, Australia should save gallons of water. Hopefully with designs like this emerging in the country, water problems will dry up.
